  • Your Account: You need to be 18+ to use SubHound. You are responsible for your account security.
  • SubHound is a tool you control. The data it shows is based on what you enter, so its accuracy is your responsibility.
  • Service & Payments:
    - We offer a 30-day free trial which does not auto-renew and requires no payment method.
    - Our standard service is a Lifetime Deal (LTD), a one-time purchase for access during the operational lifetime of SubHound, which does not auto-renew.
  • Our alerts are a helpful reminder, but not a guarantee. You're still responsible for managing your recurring payments.
  • Your Data: You own all the financial data you enter. We own the SubHound service and brand.
  • Liability: We've included standard legal disclaimers to limit our liability, which is necessary for us to operate.
  • Changes: We may update these terms. We'll tell you about significant changes.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website https://www.subhound.com and the related software and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Mad Manners Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"). The Service is offered under the brand name "SubHound"

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, accessing or using the Service, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

2.1. Description: SubHound is a software-as-a-service platform designed to help users track, manage, and gain insights into their recurring payments and costs. The Service is an organisational tool to help you monitor your spending.

2.2. Data Accuracy and No Financial Advice: You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the payment data (e.g., service names, payment dates, amounts) that you enter into the Service. The Service is an organisational tool and does not link directly to your bank accounts or payment providers to verify this data. We provide no financial, tax, or legal advice. Any insights, totals, or reminders provided by the Service are based on the data you provide. We are not liable for any financial loss, missed payments, or unintended charges resulting from inaccurate data entered by you or your reliance on the Service.

2.3. No Guarantee of Alerts or Notifications: The alert and notification features of the Service are provided as a convenience. We are dependent on third-party service providers (such as email delivery services) to transmit these alerts. We do not warrant or guarantee the successful, timely, or complete delivery of any alert or notification. You acknowledge that alerts may be delayed, blocked by spam filters, or fail to be delivered for reasons outside of our reasonable control. You agree that you will not hold us liable for any damages, losses, or costs (including late fees or unintended charges) arising from a failed, delayed, or undelivered alert. It remains your sole responsibility to manage your recurring payments independently of the Service's notifications.

2.4. Licence: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business financial management, in accordance with these Terms.

3. User Accounts

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.

Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

Accurate Information: You agree to provide and maintain true, accurate, and complete information as part of the registration and account management process.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Renewals (For the SubHound Service)

General Service Reliance on User Input:
SubHound is a tool designed to help you manage your recurring payments. The accuracy and completeness of the data displayed within your SubHound account, including payment details, renewal dates, and costs, are directly dependent on the information you, the user, manually enter and maintain. Therefore, the accuracy of your SubHound data is ultimately your responsibility.

Paid Access: Access to certain features of the Service requires a Lifetime-Deal purchase ("LTD").

Billing: You authorise us and our third-party payment processor (Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method. The prices displayed for the Service are inclusive of UK Value Added Tax (VAT), where applicable. For sales to customers in other jurisdictions, you are responsible for any other applicable taxes, duties, or governmental charges. Where we are legally required to collect such taxes on your behalf, the corresponding amount will be added to your bill.

Cancellation: You may cancel your service at any time through your account settings dashboard. The cancellation will become effective at the end of your current paid term, and you will not be charged again.

Refund Policy: Lifetime-Deals fees are non-refundable. We are under no obligation to provide refunds or credits for any unused services. Any refund or credit that we may provide will be at our sole and absolute discretion.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our prices, existing LTD purchases will not pay any increase.

4.1. Free Trial

SubHound offers a 30-day free trial period. To begin your free trial, no payment method is required. During this trial, you will have access to all core features of the SubHound service. You will not be automatically charged at the end of the free trial period. Your account will simply transition to a view-only state if you do not purchase a Lifetime Deal.

4.2. Lifetime Deal (LTD)

From time to time, SubHound may offer a "Lifetime Deal" (LTD) which provides access to the SubHound service for a one-time upfront payment ("LTD Payment"). The terms of the LTD are as follows:

Definition of Lifetime: "Lifetime" for the purpose of the LTD means the operational lifetime of the SubHound service. This implies access to the service for as long as SubHound, operated by Mad Manners Ltd, continues to operate and provide the core SubHound service to its users. In the event that SubHound materially changes its core service, pivots to a new service, or ceases operations, your access may be affected, but such events are not subject to a refund.

One-Time Payment: The LTD is a one-time payment and does not auto-renew. No further recurring charges will apply for your access to the core SubHound service.

Pricing & Availability: The LTD may be offered in limited quantities and/or at tiered pricing as promotional offers. The availability and specific pricing of any LTD are subject to change without prior notice, at our sole discretion.

Features Included: LTD holders receive access to all current core features of the SubHound service. We commit to providing access to future core features and updates that enhance the primary functionality of the service during its operational lifetime. However, we reserve the right to introduce separate premium add-ons, integrations, or distinct service tiers which may require additional payment and are not automatically included in the LTD.

No Refunds for LTD: All LTD Payments are strictly non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise by SubHound at the time of purchase or where required by applicable law. By purchasing an LTD, you acknowledge and agree to this non-refundable policy.

Account Transferability: LTD accounts are tied to the original purchaser and are generally non-transferable and may not be sold or shared.

5. Alerts Functionality and Responsibility

SubHound's "Powerful Alerts" feature is designed to provide helpful reminders for your upcoming recurring payments, trial endings, and other key payment-related decisions based on the data you provide.

Reminder Service Only: Our alerts are provided as a convenient reminder service only. They are not a guarantee against charges, missed cancellations, or other financial outcomes.

User Responsibility: You, the user, remain solely and ultimately responsible for managing your recurring payments, cancelling unwanted services, and verifying payment due dates and terms with the respective service providers. SubHound does not automatically cancel recurring payments on your behalf.

Reliance on External Factors: The timely and successful delivery of alerts can depend on various external factors beyond our control, including but not limited to, the reliability of email providers, SMS gateways, WhatsApp service, calendar integrations, and your device's notification settings or connectivity. While we strive for maximum reliability, we cannot guarantee instantaneous or uninterrupted delivery of all alerts.

Consent for SMS/WhatsApp Alerts: To receive alerts via SMS or WhatsApp, you must provide your explicit, affirmative consent within the SubHound application. By enabling these alert channels, you agree to receive transactional notifications related to your subscribed services. You may manage or opt-out of these alerts at any time through your account settings.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including all software, code, text, graphics, and logos) are the exclusive property of SubHound and its licensors and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. User Content and Feedback

7.1. Ownership of Your Data: You retain full ownership of all data and content that you submit into the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

7.2. Feedback: If you provide us with any ideas or suggestions concerning the Service ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate such Feedback into our Service without any compensation or obligation to you.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

Engage in any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious.

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Service.

Use any automated means to access the Service in a manner that places an excessive load on our infrastructure.

Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other user accounts.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including for a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SUBHOUND BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (£100) OR THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO US.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify SubHound from any claims, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of these Terms.

14. General Provisions

Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms at our discretion, including in connection with a merger or sale of our business.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SubHound concerning the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
